I don’t know if you will remember me but I used to work with you at Charter. I heard yesterday what happened to you at that shithole company and I feel really bad. I walked out of the Charlton office with my finger in the air because I came to realize what kind of people worked there and that a future at a place like that was like a death sentence. They then totally screwed me over with unemployment and made it financially hard on me. I worked for your old boss and he’s a good guy, I quit when I was working for someone else in that office and to this day I do not regret for one second the decision that I made. It was tough for the next nine months but I scraped by and when all was said and done I ended up with a job that I love and am greatful to have. I just wanted to let you know that it is the best thing that could’ve happened to you and while it may be tough for a bit you will be ok. Someday you will look back at that joke of an employer and be so happy that you got out while you were young and still able to get ahead in life. Best of luck to you and you family. I hope it all works out for you guys.
Paul, I do remember you and I hope you come back to read this. You and Tom were the people I rode along with when I first started. You put in over 5 years if I recall correctly.
I have to say that, of all the comments I’ve received lately, yours carries the most weight. You were in this position (you quit, I was fired) and figured it out. I’m not sure how I will do it but I know I will. I don’t have a choice. Thank you very much for your comment. You have no idea how much it means to me.
I know how it feels to be in your position and it is scary, that’s why I wanted to try to contact you and tell you that you’ll be fine. It probably will be a bit hard for a while, but it all works out in the end. I put my time in at that place and I was good at what I did but it was all for nothing, they just didn’t care. There wasn’t a future for you there, your a smart guy and you have a better future away from that company, guaranteed. You’ll be like me at some point and when you look back you’ll just say to yourself, thank god I got out when I did. It’s the truth.
Thanks for stopping by.
I DIDN’T KNOW THAT YOU WERE A YANKEES FAN!!! THATS GREAT THEY PICK ON ME ALL THE TIME IN THE OFFICE FOR BEING A YANKEES FAN….
Thanks Courtney for stopping by. I guess the word’s really out now, isn’t it? I bet it was Kristin (if I spelled that right) that told you. :)
I don’t remember who told me…Well Congrats to you and wifey…..I hope you had a better night then when I spoke with you at work.
Much better. It ended around 8:30 or so. Thanks.
